Excellent opportunity for a physician with commercial pharmaceutical industry experience to step up to a Medical Manager role at the UK affiliate of one of the world’s leading Biotech companies. Providing technical medical support for marketed and clinical development products in the Neurology area, the position covers the full gamut of Promotional Support; Customer Shaping; Medical Information; Investigator Studies; Phase IV studies; International Medical Affairs; Medical Information; Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory Compliance.

Role
(MM) Medical Manager
Key aspects of the role
• Contribute commercial and medical expertise to phase IV trials design and implementation and phase II and III site selection and key opinion leader liaison
• Deputise for the Medical Director in representing the UK Affiliate within the International Medical Affairs group
• Support and become involved in projects and activities originating from the International Medical Affairs group
• Provide input into sales and marketing strategies and concept development of Brand promotional materials
• Review and sign off brand specific and portfolio-related promotional materials
• Prepare the medical/scientific rationale for the defense or challenge of promotional materials/activities for the ABPI Code of Practice Committee
• Leverage scientific/customer insights to enhance promotional materials on a rolling basis through the development cycle
• Present at Clinical Advisory Boards
• Provide expert therapy area medical input into NICE or SIGN submissions in line with overall Brand Strategy
• Develop clinical summaries of recently published papers
• Prepare submissions for Ethics Committees, CTAs, reimbursement authorities etc
Experience
All applicants must have a proven track record in Medical Affairs, in particular working with Neurology products. Prior experience in MS is strongly advantageous.

Qualifications
Candidates must be medically qualified and fully GMC registered. A post graduate medical qualification is desirable and candidates with the Dip Pharm Med will be at an advantage.
