Job Description: Summary
An important, pivotal role reporting to the Director of European Oncology. Leading the clinical development for new indications for an existing Leukaemia product and active participating in the development program in collaboration with US and Japanese pharma companies, you will also provide clinical assessment for the Business Development Team on new Haemato-Oncology products and conduct medical and clinical tasks in due diligence.

(MM) European Medical Manager (New Haemato-Oncology Products)
Key aspects of the role
• Lead, design and supervise the European Development Program for registration studies for an existing Leukaemia product
• Collaborate with partners in US and Japan on the development program
• Assess new oncology product opportunities with the Business Development team and conduct medical and clinical due diligence
• Manage and lead Advisory Board meetings
• Work effectively in cross-functional teams and operational groups
Experience
Experience in Haematology, Oncology or Haemato-Oncology is essential. All applicants must have prior experience of working within the UK or European pharmaceutical industry and knowledge of conducting studies according to guidelines, regulatory affairs, safety and publications review. Candidates must also be fully conversant with ethical codes regarding promotional activities.
A background in European markets and experience of networking with European KOLs is preferred.
Key requirements are
• Willingness to undertake frequent travel across Europe to KOLs and centres participating in the development and medical education program
• Willingness to undertake frequent visits to associates to support local Oncology reps or the local team
• Ability to communicate effectively to key functions in the associates
• Strong teamworking capability
• Ability to form strong alliances with marketing teams
• Fluency in English. Another European language is strongly advantageous.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills across different cultures
• Self-motivation and adaptability
Qualifications
Candidates must be fully GMC or EU equivalent registered. A higher medical qualification is preferred. Membership of the FPM or equivalent is advantageous.
