Job Description: Summary
Reporting to the Director of European Oncology, this is a high profile role in which the key task is to lead the European Project Team and conduct a clinical development program for a new treatment principle in Haematology. The goal is to achieve the registration of the product through an EMEA centralised procedure for various indications.

Key aspects of the role
• Lead the European Development Team (CMC, Regulatory, Study management, CRO management, contracts management, budget management)
• Lead, design and supervise the clinical development program
• Support key messages for the products from the program and data generated
• Crystallize key product advantages from clinical development into a medical education program and Advisory Board meetings across Europe as an early part of the commercialisation process
• Organise, structure and present in key product meetings (Advisory Boards, symposia etc.) throughout the life cycle of the product
• Build and maintain robust KOL relationships across Europe
• Respond effectively to external requirements/enquiries regarding the efficacy and safety of the treatment
Experience
Experience in Haematology, Oncology or Haemato-Oncology is essential. All applicants must have prior experience of working within the UK or European pharmaceutical industry and knowledge of conducting studies according to guidelines, regulatory affairs, safety and publications review. Candidates must also be fully conversant with ethical codes regarding promotional activities.
A background in European markets and experience of networking with European KOLs is preferred.
Key requirements are
• Willingness to undertake frequent travel across Europe to KOLs and centres participating in the development and medical education program
• Willingness to undertake frequent visits to associates to support local Oncology reps or the local team
• Ability to communicate effectively to key functions in the associates
• Strong teamworking capability
• Ability to form strong alliances with marketing teams
• Fluency in English. Another European language is strongly advantageous.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills across different cultures
• Self-motivation and adaptability
Qualifications
Candidates must be fully GMC or EU equivalent registered. A higher medical qualification is preferred. Membership of the FPM or equivalent is advantageous.
