Job Description: Summary
Excellent opening for an entry level physician with a background in Oncology to join a global pharmaceutical company in a role with a UK and international focus. As UK legal signatory for regulatory, promotional and allied materials, you will also advise on medical aspects of clinical trials, commercial activities and product support; provide strategic input into the development and implementation of Clinical Development Plans and participate in marketing, campaign development, P.R., issues management and training.

(MA) Medical Adviser (Oncology)
Key aspects of the role
• assist in the formulation and planning of UK strategy for the launch of new compounds and life cycle management of marketed products
• contribute to the design and conduct of International Clinical Development and Marketing Plans and domestic clinical trials conducted in the UK/RoI
• act as a first point of contact between R&D and the commercial function at UK and Global levels
• provide medical support for local and international regulatory activities
• assist in issue management
• manage and assess information to provide high level technical and medical input into strategic and tactical planning
• act as lead author of final reports for clinical studies and manage the subsequent investigator publication of multinational and domestic clinical studies
• provide medical advice on marketed products and clinical trials for investigators, prescribers, pharmacists and members of the public
• make and maintain contact with investigators and Key Opinion Leaders
• assist in the medical component of Sales Force training
• attend local, Global and International strategic planning meetings, conferences, symposia and training courses
• keep up to date on ABPI Code of Practice and allied issues
Experience
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years’ training in recognised SHO training rotations in UK hospital medicine following full GMC registration. Clinical experience in Oncology is essential.

Qualifications
