ASSOCIATE MEDICAL DIRECTOR

An Associate Medical Director position has arisen with a global pharmaceutical company, based in the South East. My client currently markets products within Renal, Hematology, ADHD and GI. This opportunity would spear-head the ADHD and GI portfolio for the UK affiliate, reporting to the UK Medical Director.

ROLE DETAILS:

An experienced pharmaceutical physician, you will provide medical and scientific support to internal colleagues and promote the UK product portfolio. You will build and maintain essential relationships with external opinion leaders, as well as leverage information to further develop the product area. Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

- Key Opinion Leader development
- Prepare and provide key medical and scientific presentations, both internally and externally
- Medical training for the sales force
- Review of promotional material and activities
- Ensuring adherence to the ABPI Code of Practice
- Attend relevant conferences as company representative both in the UK and globally
- Overall medical support for commercial activities and projects

CANDIDATE PROFILE

You will enjoy problem-solving and variety in your work. You will have the following skill-set:

- Qualified physician with GMC registration
- Significant years experience providing medical/scientific support within the pharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge of drug development process, regulations, and policies
- Able to prioritise your workload and multi-task
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of delivering formal presentations
- Knowledge of the ABPI Code of Practice
- Experience of review and analysis of marketing material
